Singapore shares ended slightly higher Friday, with the Straits Times Index rising 10.20 points to 2,744.17.
The gain came after a flurry of late buying following a choppy session amid mixed economic signals from China and Europe.
In the broader market, volume traded amounted to 1.44 billion shares valued at about S$1.23 billion. Gainers outnumbered losers 294 to 163.
Wilmar International rose 2% to S$4.99 while Golden Agri-Resources gained 1.6% to S$0.63.
Property stocks fell slightly, with City Developments closing 0.4% lower at S$9.96 and CapitaMalls Asia ending down 0.8% at S$1.27.
